Content Description Robert Huger Elliott (1877-1948), an art lecturer and educator, was born in Sewanee, Tennessee, to John Barnwell and Harriett Lucas (Huger) Elliott. After receiving a degree in architecture and studying the fine arts, Elliott worked at various institutions as a director and administrator of educational programs.
