Allen Turner Davidson (1819-1905), a prominent western North Carolina resident, served as a member to the 1861 North Carolina Secession Convention and as a member to the House of Representatives of the Confederate States (1862).
The collection contains an autograph book compiled by Davidson of United States and Confederate States politicians and military men. There also is correspondence to and from Davidson.
