Content Description

Robert J. Love (1760-1845) was born in Augusta County, VA, and died in Waynesville, NC. He served as a colonel in the Revolutionary War. After the war he entered into politics in North Carolina, and served as state representative, justice of the peace, North Carolina Convention delegate, and presidential elector. He married Mary Ann Dillard; together they had thirteen children. For more information see SM 80-55, James Robert Love collection.

The collection contains bills and receipts, legal papers, land surveys, and other items relating to the political and business interests of Love and his associates.
