Content Description

Larry W. Mull was born in Waynesville, NC, to Reubert and Mary Mull (Moll) on September 17, 1909. He was a restaurateur and a reporter for the United Press International and the Associated Press. In 1965, he founded the Haywood County Music Company. Mull wrote over 150 gospel songs and was a staff writer for Stamp-Baxter's Music Company. Some of his songs were published by Tennessee Music Company and Vaughn Music Publishers. The collection contains songbooks and sheet music, a notebook of piano chords by Mull, articles on the lumbering and forestry industry in North Carolina, and genealogical material on the Mull family.
