Content Description

The Western North Carolina Historical Association was incorporated in August, 1952, as a non-profit educational organization. The association encourages the study of western North Carolina history, collects historical materials, and preserves historic sites and buildings. The collection consists of correspondence (1952-1972), minutes (1954-1972), programs, photographs, reports, recommendations, membership lists, resolutions concerning deceased members, newspaper clippings, and other items relating to the Association. These materials trace the history of the organization from 1952-1975.
