Content Description

Cherokee language materials or related linguistic materials, both originals and photocopies, and dated 1885 - 1999, that includes documents, formulas, medicinal and love charms, printed materials in the Cherokee language, Cherokee language manuals and primers, and educational materials and research papers on Cherokee language topics.

Addition includes correspondence, particularly of Alan Kilpatrick concerning publications and activities, and also correspondence of Jack Frederick Kilpatrick; galley proofs of articles; materials related to The Night Has a Naked Soul by Alan Kilpatrick, including Cherokee texts, manuscript, and galley proof; translations of Cherokee texts by Alan Kilpatrick and/or Jack Frederick Kilpatrick; materials concerning the writings of Jack Frederick Kilpatrick and Anna Gritts Kilpatrick; and notes on Cherokee dialects and families.
