The one item in this collection is a fifty-page legal document entitled "Abstract of Title to the Realty Holdings of the Cullowhee Mining and Reduction Company, Situated, Lying, and Being in Jackson County, North Carolina," prepared by Coleman C. Cowan, an attorney from Webster, NC. The document is dated April 14, 1906, and is a summary of the history of titles to six tracts of land owned by the mining company.
