Biographical / Historical

Dr. William L. Kirkpatrick was born in Crabtree township (Haywood County, North Carolina). After receiving his training as a physician, he move to Pacolet, South Carolina, where he practiced for twenty-five years. Later he moved to Waynesville, North Carolina, where he had a general practice as well as surgery. After the death of his first wife, Dr. Kirkpatrick married Ms Ellie Thompson, a nurse at Haywood County Hospital.
