2) [unidentified; rail-line running along river leading into a town/settlement; hillsides are barren. Numbered "2"]

4) [unidentified; town street scene; two men in foreground propping up an unidentified object; a bridge in background at end of street. Numbered "6"] ; [perhaps Bryson City; note office sign indicating "Times Office"; compare also with Swain County Heritage, p. 291]

[unidentified inn or hotel, possibly the Chandler / Jarrett House in Dillsboro. Numbered "7"]
