Folk Lore of Hungary by Gaza Nagy

This collection contains several partial notebooks without covers, hand-written. Nagy (January 16, 1913 – August 26, 1977) was a professor of history at Western Carolina University.





"These are - to the best of my memory, 'The Folk Lore of Hungary' [sic], written by Gaza Nagy in his own handwriting. They are separated because he had to leave them behind when he escaped from the Communist regime after World War II…. Mailed to him, a few at a time, by his sister Emelia (Emi) Lajos Gaal (Gaal Lajosne)." [from a note contained within the collection and written by the donor, Nagy's wife].
