Dillard Love Collection

Dillard Love was a Macon County, NC, official. His official title is unknown. He held office from 1825 to 1838.



The collection includes legal papers relating to a lawsuit filed by Dillard Love against William Parker, Constable of Haywood County, NC, for non-payment of returned warrants: the promissory notes, bonds and warrants evidencing the lawsuit; and summons and jury payment vouchers for the trial. Also included are school vouchers for payment to teachers, property tax reports and certain legislative acts, all of which pertain to Love's official capacity.
