Rufus Morgan Collection

The collection consists of materials relating to the life and activities of the Rev. Rufus Morgan (1885 – 1983), an Episcopal Priest in western North Carolina. These materials were gathered by Mr. Ben Bridgers of Sylva, NC, in preparation for a planned biography of Rufus Morgan. Included are correspondence, audio cassettes (1970 – 1979 and no date), notes, photographs, and clippings, chiefly concerning Rev. Rufus Morgan and family. Also included are eight convention journals titled Diocese of Western North Carolina (1967 – 1990, non-inclusive) and publications on regional history.
