Jackson County School Ledger

Identifier: SM 06-04
Ledger with a title page heading “Common School Record of the Proceedings of the Board Superintendents of Jackson County.” The ledger consists thirty-two (32) pages and has entries dated between 1853 and 1861 for Jackson County, North Carolina. It includes an April 1861 entry with a list of “committeemen” that has forty-six numbered names. There is also a final, unrelated entry dated March 16, 1891, Cashiers, N.C., concerning a legal notice.
